This is the first Gas based power project proposed to be put up at Bidadi 32 Kms from Bangalore in Karnataka. The 1400 MW combined gas cycle plant will have 4 units of 350 MW each. Sourcing for the gas is under finalisation. The project is estimated to cost Rs.3750 Crores.

The physical infrastructure for the project in terms of land and water supply pipeline are in place. Since this is a base load project located near Bangalore, it will add significantly to the grid stability. The gas requirement is 1.26 MMTPa. The project can be completed in 36 months and will set a trend for further gas projects in the State.
