Tattihalla Diversion Scheme To Bommmanahalli Reservoir :

Tattihalla is a tributary of Kalinadi and like Kali it will extend its aid to generate power at Nagjhari Power House.

   

The Tattihala dam, which is constructed across the Tattihalla river, near Tatwal village in Haliyal Taluk, Uttara Kannada District, will divert the bulk of the monsoon flows of the river into the Bommanahalli Pick-up reservoir.

MDDL is EL 449.58m, 42.4m high 1225 m long Tattihalla dam is a composite dam in nature with concrete spillway in the gorge and earther flanks on either side. Four radial gates of size 15m x 12m are provided to regulate the flood discharge.

 

A control structure with three vent regulates the flow into the water conductor system.

 

Water conductor system consists o 530 m long approach channel. 429! long "D" shaped tunnel and 2895 n long exit channel.
